GENERAL SUMMARY: WC&S is a comprehensive domestic violence program annually serving over 5,000 adult and child survivors of domestic violence & facilitating intervention groups to over 300 men who batter. All staff learn about and support the organization’s mission, guiding principles, and values, as well as the tenets of Women’s Center Business System (WCBS), and are sensitive to cultural and workplace harmony and infusing principles of Sanctuary (a model for providing trauma-informed care) into their daily interactions with clients and co-workers.POSITION SUMMARY: Provides trauma-informed individual therapy and facilitates support groups for victims of domestic violence crimes.REPORTS TO: Manager of ServicesRESPONSIBILITIES: Assesses and offers trauma-informed individual therapy to victims with trauma-related mental health problems Develops and facilitates trauma-informed domestic violence support groups Works with WC&S advocates to coordinate resources as needed for dual diagnosed women Works with WC&S housing advocates to facilitate referral to appropriate group home and assisted living facilities where necessary Assists in training of staff about domestic violence and trauma Meets regularly with Manager of Services for supervision and to prioritize tasks, issues related to non-resident and shelter program Assures that JARS (Justice/Autonomy/Restoration/Safety) is utilized to guide the work Documents and enters accurate client information and systems advocacy and submits in a timely manner Performs other VOCA-eligible duties as assigned by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed therapist (proof of licensure required) 3-5 years direct service experience in social service agency preferred Knowledge of mental health and drug & alcohol systems Ability to work with multiple systems and professionals Ability to work with both professional and non-professional staff Ability to work independently and as a team member Effective oral and written communication skills Sensitive to domestic violence and cultural diversity issues Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Windows and Word Act 33 and 34 and FBI ClearancesSALARY RANGE: Starting annual salary is high $30,000s.
